ABOUT

This set of images was created around a process of blending and layering. I created base images composed sparingly and simply. These were intended to be used to generate more complex versions of themselves. These complex versions were layered to create entirely new images that were not pre visualized, but were selected or discarded based on responses to them. I followed a rhythm of process and stepped out of the way until something happens that seemed significant.

Over time I collected a memory of responses and feelings to previous images. All of these experiences accumulated to affect or refine my responses to what appeared before me.

Finally, I see that each image holds its own in the world. It belongs to a group, but has its own validity and qualities. There are nuances, details, and anomalies throughout this set, exist as a manifestation or result of a structured process of inviting randomness and responding to each invention or discovery.
